BIM: Why It Matters So Much

You might have heard the term BIM, either in our articles, in passing, in a conversation, or maybe you use BIM on your construction projects. In the last decade, a lot of changes have been on the horizon in the construction sector. The digitalization of the industry, and constant update on new ways to get and use data on the market. The most popular has to be Building Information Modelling (BIM). Some of our readers are not yet BIM enabled, and not considering implementing BIM in their operations in the near future. FramR News : Tablet App – Want to test it?

Our objective is to make the FramR as simple and intuitive as possible to us. In order to do so, we have developed a Tablet App that allows workers to take full control of the layout projector. We are on the verge of releasing version 0.1 and if you want to, you can test it!

Developing a new tablet app is no easy task. But against what you might think, the hard part is not the coding and programming, it is the workflow. Many steps must be followed in other to make sure everything is as smooth as possible. How do you make it “smooth”? You do that with a “good workflow”, but what is that?

“A workflow is a sequential process of the optimal way to get work.” Yes, that is a Google Answer. In normal human words related to our case, it means making the interface simple and intuitive to use. To do so, the team has to work closely with future users to understand how they do their usual tasks. Over the last couple of months, that is what Mechasys’ team has been up to and we are very excited to show it to you.

Our workflow is a 4 easy step process that gets you on your way in less than 5 minutes. If you want to test it, you can! We would love to get your feedback.
